Statoil is a fully integrated petroleum company with production operations in thirteen countries and retail operations in eight. By revenue Statoil is in 2010 ranked by Fortune Magazine as the world’s 13th largest oil and gas company, and the largest company in the Nordic region by revenue, profit, and market capitalization.
Statoil tasked their experience design agency, 15meanings to bring their annual report into the best digital formats possible. As part of this brief, 15meanings contacted hedgehog lab to develop an informative app for the iPhone.
hedgehog lab worked with the 15meaning’s design and experience teams to build a completely a visually appealing app using infographics and videos (with an on-demand cloud delivery mechanism). The new app helps Statoil establish themselves as a leader in the digital space where other oil and energy companies are usually found lacking.
