Our Commitment to Net Zero
hedgehog lab is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. This goal aligns with the UK Government’s targets under the Climate Change Act and the Paris Agreement’s ambition to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
We aim to:
- Maintain zero emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2030.
- Reduce Scope 3 emissions by 30% by 2030, engaging with 100% of our supply chain.
This plan reflects our first benchmark reporting year, and we are currently building comprehensive Scope 3 inventory processes.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline Year: 2024/2025
This is hedgehog lab’s first carbon reduction report. Our data collection is based on activity-based data, independently audited and aligned with GHG Protocols and SECR requirements.

These categories don’t apply to our business. As a service company, we don’t move or supply physical goods, so there are no significant emissions to report here.

Emissions Reduction Targets
As this is our benchmark report and we have no previous emissions reduction commitments, 2024/25 is being used to consolidate data and processes in order to set realistic, time-bound carbon reduction targets that will help us work towards achieving Net Zero.
We are targeting:
- Scope 1: Maintain 0 emissions by 2030
- Scope 2: Maintain 0 emissions by 2030
- Scope 3: Reduce emissions by 30% by 2030, and engage with 100% of our supply chain

- Home Working Environmental Policy: Introduced guidelines for sustainable home office setups.
- Sustainable Procurement: Launched a policy to prioritise environmentally responsible suppliers.
- Office Energy Management: Continued use of LED lighting, smart heating, and renewable electricity.

- Carbon Literacy Training: Rollout to all employees.
- Supply Chain Emissions Strategy: Implement full emissions inventory and vendor engagement.
