As I was sitting in the Standards and Poors global conference room on the 19th floor of their building in lower Manhattan‚ I peered out the window and saw the apocalypse.

The view looked like a scene out of Mad Max. Inside the room‚ I listened to presentations on Large Language Models‚ Machine Learning and AI from some of the brightest data scientists working today. Presenting companies included T. ROWE PRICE‚ FreddieMac‚ S&P Global‚ Square‚ Federal Reserve Bank of New York‚ Fitch Ratings and FourSquare. While no one spoke about an AI apocalypse‚ they all spoke about one thing: ChatGPT.
One Big Thing about ChatGPT
As defined by McKinsey‚ Generative artificial intelligence (AI) describes algorithms (such as ChatGPT) that can be used to create new content‚ including audio‚ code‚ images‚ text‚ simulations and videos. Everyone knows by now that when you ask ChatGPT a question or ask it to write a paragraph about a topic‚ it’s going to give you an answer based on all of the information it’s been trained on.
But the big thing to realize is this: if you ask ChatGPT the same question again‚ it’s going to give you a new and slightly different answer.
Why? Because ChatGPT is made to be creative. It’s making thousands of new and unique decisions on words‚ tone and inflection every time it returns a response.
For an analogy‚ let’s ask ChatGPT a question: “ChatGPT‚ what falls from the sky in the winter?” Obviously‚ the answer is a snowflake. But‚ as we know‚ every snowflake is unique and there is an infinite number of possible shapes they can form. They are similar in some ways – as are the answers that ChatGPT gives – but there is always something different about each response. And no two responses are the same. This is because ChatGPT was built to mimic human responses. It was built to be intentionally creative.
How Best To Get Creative With ChatGPT
This content could be short social media messages‚ blog posts‚ emails‚ or even complete books (if you can break the whole content down into different sections).
ChatGPT can be used to brainstorm and generate ideas for various purposes. From personal requirements like party ideas or planning holidays to professional needs like titles for blog posts.
ChatGPT can break down or simplify concepts to make them easily understandable to the users. It can also easily translate the content you provide or even generate new content in multiple languages. This makes ChatGPT the ideal platform for anyone learning about new concepts or topics in another language.
ChatGPT can create lyrics‚ stories and content from just an initial concept. This makes it an excellent tool for users to quickly spark new ideas when their creative juices are running low.
ChatGPT can be trained using your custom data‚ helping to generate content that’s more in tune with your company requirements. For instance‚ we’ve seen examples of businesses boosting sales from feeding email templates into the platform to create unique cold emails specific to their industry.
Create new solutions
ChatGPT has an API that can be used by businesses and developers to integrate various applications and products. This integration can help to generate AI-based responses that enhance the user experience.

Create new solutions
New solutions can be done in two ways:
– The first way is to create a new solution by training the platform with custom content. There are a ton of new AI tools out there which have been developed this way. Here are a few examples:

How I’ve Used ChatGPT
I’ve used ChatGPT mostly as a copywriting partner. I tend to have some great ideas in my head that I want to get out on (digital) paper. I furiously write a paragraph or two and realize it’s disjointed‚ doesn’t flow well or is missing a little something.
So‚ I pop it into ChatGPT and give it a prop like “clean up this paragraph” or “expand upon this paragraph”. Or‚ I take the central theme from my thoughts and ask ChatGPT to “write a paragraph” about it. In all cases I get a unique viewpoint back. Maybe a sentence jumps out at me or maybe a full paragraph. I cut and paste it into my work‚ make a few edits and send it back into ChatPGT to “Clean this paragraph up”.
Voila! A super nice paragraph…that is almost complete.
The following prompts are very simple and yet great examples of how fast you can get inspiration by using ChatGPT. You can easily give more information about your topic or the targeted audience you might have to make this unique to your work.
Another easy and helpful way to use ChatGPT’s creativity is by asking it to generate your SEO content. As I did in the example above‚ choosing a specific topic and asking for SEO oriented keywords to improve your page ranking saves so much time that I would have to spend researching.
Make sure you proofread ChatGPT. Sometimes it can spit out a whacky sentence or place a weird word here or there. But‚ remember our earlier analogy about the snowflake. ChatGPT is unpredictable‚ dynamic and constantly evolving. And that’s what makes it a great partner for creative work.
