We’ve received a string of humbling awards and recognition already this year and it’s with immense pride that we reveal another following confirmation of our inclusion in the 2019 cohort of Creative England’s CE50.

The list‚ announced today (Tuesday 21 May)‚ sees hedgehog lab rubbing shoulders with some of the most creative and disruptive businesses in England drawn from a diverse range of fields encompassing TV‚ film‚ digital media and gaming.

Now in its fifth year‚ the CE50 acts as an annual barometer of England’s most innovative creative businesses with those included in previous cohorts having gone on to boast a wide variety of achievements including BAFTA nominations‚ international expansion‚ big-name customer wins and industry accolades.

Our inclusion in the 2019 cohort comes after a brilliant 12 months at hedgehog lab which has seen us secure some of our biggest projects ever and release some industry-defining digital products‚ including Deliciously Ella’s new app and Kodak’s PixPax photo printing app‚ powering us to our most successful year ever.

Following today’s announcement‚ hedgehog lab’s Chief Commercial Officer‚ Aidan Dunphy‚ commented: “We’ve always prided ourselves on our ability to provide creative solutions to the most pressing problems that businesses across all sectors are currently facing‚ so to be recognised as one of England’s leading creative businesses by such a prestigious body is a real honour.

“As a global business‚ we know how highly the country’s creative industry is viewed around the world and this year’s CE50 cohort attests to the depth and breadth of talent currently operating across the creative industries. To be recognised alongside so many leaders in their field across such a wide range of sectors is a real vindication of the work we’re doing at hedgehog lab and sets us up for another record breaking 12 months.”

Caroline Norbury MBE‚ Chief Executive at Creative England‚ said: “CE50 highlights some of the exceptional talent that we believe will be central to the UK’s creative economy in the coming years. The people featured in this report are the talented minds at the very forefront of creativity.

“Many of this year’s cohort are fusing creativity with technology to create meaningful solutions to real world problems. Whether by teaching young girls to code‚ providing a platform for unheard voices or creating more accessible media content‚ the innovators presented here are those which make our creative industries truly world-leading.”
