The 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ list was launched this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising hedgehog lab among the list of organisations in the Medium category.
hedgehog lab’s employees anonymously reported that our open, transparent and people first culture makes the company a great place to work.
Over the past few years, we have introduced a range of initiatives to create a workplace where our people can thrive. Flexible working is at the heart of this, with employees empowered to balance work and life in ways that suit them best, from work from home policies to office locations that are available but not mandated. Our approach goes beyond flexibility, with policies supporting inclusivity at every stage. These include our Neurodiversity and Inclusion policy, menopause policy, and practices designed to ensure everyone can bring their authentic selves to work.
Wellbeing is another big focus. From mental health and financial wellbeing platforms to personal development budgets, we invest in helping people feel supported through life’s challenges. More recently, our social value framework and partnerships with groups like If U Care Share, The Hygiene Bank and Groundwork have given colleagues ways to make a real impact in their communities too.
All of this builds on our culture of trust, pride, camaraderie and wellbeing and keeps shaping hedgehog lab into a place where people genuinely enjoy working.
As one anonymous employee shared in our recent Trust Index™ survey:

Great Place To Work® UK administered their research-backed Trust Index™ employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based tech employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
Analysis of the sector employee survey responses found:
- 84% of employees at the UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ say “I want to work here for a long time” compared to 67% at a typical company in this sector.
