The Lowdown

This client is a leading authority on information security and risk management. Their membership ranges from Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 listed corporations to public sector bodies and government departments. They have a number of web applications to enable their Members to detect, respond and resolve ongoing and emerging threats to protect their businesses and have the aspiration to build more digital products.

The Problem

They were looking to form a partnership with an experienced provider, with a strong track record in bespoke software development to migrate and update their existing apps to a new digital landscape and build a series of new web applications.

They identified that they could utilise our in-house UX/UI design and research capabilities to update their existing apps to meet their customers’ expectations and provide them with a premium experience.

Our in-house, UK based expertise across engineering, design, research and product, as well as our reputation working with big brands, made us the perfect partner to solve their business challenges.

The Solution

One of the client’s core requirements was to build a web-based application for an existing document, but also to provide support and maintenance on two existing web applications. Following the successful migration of these two applications work began on the new application build.

Build commenced on a web-based version of an existing document to include all 4000 controls, supporting documents and categorisations. Special attention was given to the UX/UI to ensure consistency across the apps and provision of a seamless user journey.

Features

Create an easy-to-use format across web and mobile

Create a design language/control library to ensure consistency throughout the user journey

Allow the internal team to update the content, whist retaining the previous versions

Allow users to create their own categorisations and provide comments on any section of the document

Allow users to follow a category/area/topic and be notified of any new comments

The Result

Following the launch of the new web app in November 2021 it now sits alongside the two other web applications in support.

hedgehog lab is currently working with this client to identify their priority areas across their existing and aspirational digital landscape for 2022 and beyond based on their business objectives and needs of their users.
