Deliveroo are one of the world’s fastest-growing companies and partner with over 50,000 restaurants across 13 markets.

Having established themselves as one of the key players in the food delivery space they wanted to diversify their offering with Sourced powered by Deliveroo, a restaurant ingredient sourcing platform on iOS, Android and Web.

Deliveroo were looking for a genuine partnership with a provider able to handle everything from idea validation and ongoing research to UX design and full-stack mobile app engineering.

This was also the first time they had ever outsourced an entire digital product build to a third party and they required a partner with the design and engineering expertise to deliver impactful, user-focused, brand consistent apps.

Our in-house expertise across research, design, engineering and product, as well as our reputation with disruptive brands, made us the perfect fit to solve their business challenges.

One of Deliveroo’s core requirements for the project was the need to validate the concept of a digital sourcing platform for restaurants through first-hand research with real restaurants and suppliers.

Thanks to our in-house user research team based out of our UK office, we were able to carry out extensive field research and interviews throughout the project.

Sourced powered by Deliveroo launched simultaneously on iOS, Android and Web in late 2019.

Sitting alongside Deliveroo’s consumer and rider apps on the App Store and Google Play Store, Sourced provides the same impeccable user experience as their flagship apps with a user journey specifically designed for busy restaurant owners and suppliers.
