BIMA Awards
The BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) Awards are the UK’s longest standing and most prestigious digital and tech awards. Established in 1985, the BIMA Awards exist to set a gold standard in digital awarding, recognising the work in the British digital sector that is truly pushing the limits of what is possible, and that’s making a difference in business, culture and society.
There are 25 categories across four main areas of the industry: Sector, Craft, Innovation and Impact. BIMA Awards are about original thinking and most importantly about impact. It’s about something that could influence the next decade and we couldn’t be prouder of our team to be included in this prestigious list of winners.
More specifically, on Tuesday 21st of November 2023, our team was awarded the Gold trophy for the exceptional User Experience on Dodl by AJ Bell.
UXR for a multi-award winning app
Dodl is the innovative investment app developed by our team for AJ Bell, aimed at breaking barriers and simplifying the UK investment landscape to create the advised clients of the future.
AJ Bell is a multi-award-winning, FCA-regulated investment platform that’s been doing this for over 25 years. With no dealing fees and an annual fee of just 0.15% of the value of your investments per year, this investment app was set to revolutionize the market as we know it and rival some of the cheapest neo-brokers out there.
In contrast to traditional investment apps, Dodl was meticulously designed to empower both seasoned investors and “nervous newcomers” with a seamless, less intimidating investment journey. The success of this transformative project can be attributed to our thorough User Research (UXR) process, which played a pivotal role in identifying user needs, driving design decisions, and ultimately delivering an app that has garnered widespread acclaim.
