We’re always buzzing when one of our talented team get the recognition they deserve‚ so we’re thrilled to reveal that UX Researcher‚ Emily Hewitson‚ has been named one of Britain’s brightest digital talents by BIMA.

Emily’s inclusion in the prestigious BIMA 100 2019 list was revealed last night (Wednesday 8 May) at a ceremony in London’s OXO Tower. Rubbing shoulders with some of Britain’s most recognisable names in the tech‚ design and digital sectors‚ Emily has been included in the industry body’s Rising Star category which recognises those under 30 who are already making waves in the industry.

The award category‚ which is also the same that our Lead Designer‚ Luke Medlock was included in last year‚ earmarks the digital leaders of the future owing to the influence and impact they are having right now within their respective organisations and industries.

Since joining the business in 2018‚ Emily has played a central role in shaping hedgehog lab’s User Experience Design Research (UXDR) team‚ which has now become a core part of our service offering.

Emily also becomes the third hedgehog lab employee to be recognised in the industry-leading list‚ following on from Luke’s recognition last year and CEO Sarat Pediredla’s inclusion in 2017.

Following the announcement‚ Emily commented: “It’s truly amazing to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation in a list that I’ve followed closely over the years. To be in the company of such incredibly talented individuals from some of biggest companies in Britain is a real honour.

“I’d like to thank all my co-workers and colleagues at hedgehog lab who have been so supportive during my time here and I can’t wait to get stuck into even more UX projects over the next 12 months.”

Chief Design Officer at hedgehog lab‚ Ray Clarke‚ added: “Ever since she joined hedgehog lab it’s been obvious that Emily provides unique insight to our work thanks to her natural curiosity and background in psychology.

“In her time at hedgehog lab‚ she has worked with some massive brands who have all been impressed with the insight she has provided. She’s also a fearless challenger of assumptions that‚ along with the rest of the UXDR team‚ has played a big part in taking our projects to the next level.

“This sort of recognition is richly deserved and I’ve got no doubt that Emily will continue to make her mark in the industry for years to come.”
