Today‚ we are excited to announce that hedgehog lab has acquired Netsells‚ a leading digital agency specialising in web and mobile app development. This acquisition represents a significant opportunity to combine resources and expertise and bring new digital transformation services to the market. Netsells has 10 years of experience in the sector and works with clients including Trainline‚ Warburtons‚ Hiscox‚ NHS and Uber. The combined companies will create a powerhouse agency in the north of England.

hedgehog lab CEO and founder Sarat Pediredla stated‚ “The acquisition of Netsells is a major milestone for us as a company. It signifies just how committed we are to our growth strategy. Combining two firms with established and renowned capabilities will enhance growth prospects massively. It eliminates circumstances in which both our companies often competed for identical projects‚ and brings together some of the best talent in the industry.”

“Therefore‚ not only will our combined firms benefit from a larger market share‚ but our people will also gain dramatically. The combined knowledge and experience of both companies will create a dynamic and innovative work environment‚ where they will have the chance to not only collaborate with new colleagues‚ but also gain additional skills‚ thus taking their career in a multitude of new directions and exposing them to a variety of projects.” Sarat continued.

This deal further reinforces our ambitions to bring cloud‚ AI and data science and digital product development together in a way not previously achieved in the industry – an ambition noted with the recent hiring of Ed Marshall as CTO.

Ed commented: “The convergence of cloud and app development through the merging of our companies will enable us to build more powerful and innovative applications than ever before. By leveraging the flexibility and scalability of the cloud‚ we can push the boundaries of what’s possible in app development‚ bringing new value and experiences to our customers of now and the future.”

Former CEO of Netsells Brannan Coady and CTO Sam Jordan have exited the business in a move already announced‚ which sees Brannan become CEO and Sam CTO of online parking marketplace‚ Your Parking Space.

“Having spent more than a third of our lives leading this incredible company‚ we never expected it to be an easy decision to handover the reins to a new leadership team for a new era. Fortunately‚ the team we leave behind are – under Sarat’s leadership – in some of the strongest hands in the industry.” said Brannan.Operating in the fast growth mobile and web development sector‚ BGF’s funding will enable the combined group to further expand its service offering to enterprise clients and SMEs in both the UK and US.
